Course Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
1. Discuss changes in our understanding of the timeline of post-stroke recovery and how therapy programs may change as a result.
2. Understand new medical devices on the market and how they work from both a neurobiological and functional recovery standpoint.
3. Understand new therapy equipment commonly employed in stroke rehab outpatient units and their practical usage and application.
4. Discuss traditional neurologic orthoses and changes to how they’re used both in the acute and post-acute settings to optimize stroke recovery.
