Course Description:

Recent statistics show that more than 6 million Americans are currently living with some stage of Alzheimer’s Disease. We work with these patients in long term care, acute care, home health and even outpatient clinics. How much do we know about the disease? Can we differentiate it from Mild Cognitive Impairment or even normal memory lapses?

-Describe at least 5 normal versus abnormal memory deficits throughout the aging process
-Justify how frontal lobe/executive functions relate to cognitive/memory ability
