Course Description:

Identifying strategies for working with people with a C6-level injury can be very challenging for
clinicians. This level injury has great rehabilitation potential but requires very specific teaching
in regard to how the person must move and the types of techniques incorporated. In this course,
J.J. Mowder-Tinney will provide specific skills to increase the success of their movements
during bed mobility and transfers. In addition, this course will illustrate interventions in a variety
of different positions that can be performed in any setting. This course involves multiple
demonstrations with real patients who have cervical-level injuries to illustrate interventions that
will optimize their independence. This course is appropriate for PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, and
nurses and can be utilized in any patient setting.
