Course Description:

Introduces clinicians previously exposed to IASTM to advanced concepts and techniques utilizing IASTM tools and cups. This course covers the principles behind stretch, sheer, compression, and distraction forces and how their roles in soft tissue dysfunction are affected by manual therapy. Clinicians will be challenged to identify the targeted tissue load and the role of tissue length as it relates to treatment. Clinicians will learn the fundamental concept of position of provocation and how IASTM is utilized to advance soft tissue work and clinical outcomes. Target audience includes Athletic Training (ATs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Personal Trainers.
