Course Description:

This intermediate level course for PT/PTAs and OT/OTAs on COPD is part of a series of Online Accelerated Clinical Practice courses. This course provides an overview of COPD demographics, assessment, and associated muscular/activity intolerance. It also provides evidence-based recommendations for rehabilitation interventions including breathing exercises, neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), optimally dosed aerobic and resistance exercise, and gauging demands for activities/occupations in patients with COPD.
