Course Description:
Wound debridement, negative-pressure wound therapy, dressings, and coverage selection are vital to understand for the practitioner who is treating a patient who may present with a wound. This course is designed for healthcare practitioners who encounter wounds from injury, surgery, or trauma throughout the continuum of a patient’s care (inpatient, outpatient, or home care) and will cover in-depth methods of debridement for removal of devitalized tissue, negative-pressure wound therapy methods, wound coverage options by category for a progressive approach based on wound bed characteristics, and a systematic approach to selecting wound coverage options for best practice.
