Course Description:

It is important for pelvic health therapist to advance their skills in examination and treatment considerations related to bowel dysfunction, specifically constipation and fecal incontinence. This asynchronous course is a 4 part series that will assist the mid-level pelvic health practitioner who is already proficient in performing a basic internal per perineal, vaginal and ano-rectal examination to develop a higher understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the gastro-intestinal /colorectal system, better understand the medical diagnoses of constipation and fecal incontinence and provide an overview of physical therapy evaluation examination and treatment of bowel dysfunction.
