Course Description:

This program is designed to raise the competency of participants in their knowledge, understanding and ability to perform Evidence Based Practice, as first defined by Guyatt in 1990, within the realm of Athletic Training. Specifically, the ability to search for and critically appraise research and assess its validity and utility to practice which in turn will strengthen the clinical decision making process. This is a critical and often times poorly executed aspect of Evidence Based Practice and is critical if EBP principles are to be effectively adopted.
