Course Description:

Populations needing physical assistance after injury or insult require attention to detail to ensure successful transitions from acute care through rehabilitation and into the community. This course will focus on the needs of patients with spinal cord injury, brain injury and stroke. Education for caregivers, equipment, community re-entry and other special considerations will be presented. This course is intended to address the discharge needs of patients which should be attended to by the case manager and interdisciplinary team.
