Course Description:

This lecture will discuss how we must reconceptualize the use of manual therapy in modern practice with reference to manual examination and therapeutic skills. Manual therapy needs to be used in a manner consistent with a contemporary understanding of pain science, with awareness that patient profiles are multidimensional and therapy should be applied with a person-centred approach. Examples will be provided which illustrate the clinical application.
