Course Description:

This course will discuss functional outcome measures commonly used in clinical practice for those with Parkinson’s disease. The PDEDGE Task Force will be reviewed and the recommendations will be discussed as it relates to clinical practice. Outcome measures covered include 6 Minute Walk Test, 10 Meter Walk Test, the Timed Up and Go and its variants, the 9 Hole Peg Test, the Mini-BESTest, and the Activities-Specific Balance Scale, among others. This course will tie in the application of these application measures to the clinical setting and ultimately, to optimize patient outcomes.
