Course Description:

In its 2000 year recorded history, manual therapy has been presented in many disparate ways. From its early, mystical origins, to its present day role as a pain modulator, many facts and myths have perpetuated. Modern manual therapy interventions have evolved concurrently with the advancement of science and clinicians now have a better understanding of its role in patient care management. This course discusses prevailing theories of manual therapy, current research on mechanisms, appropriate assessment mechanisms and evidence regarding intervention.
