Course Description:

This course provides rehabilitation professionals with a foundational understanding of cognitive rehabilitation, including identifying major cognitive domains, how cognition can be screened and assessed, and general treatment strategies. It will also address how rehabilitation professionals can minimize the effects of cognitive deficits on a person's performance and participation in activities of daily living. This course will provide evidence-based information on cognitive rehabilitation with case-based applications of knowledge obtained during previous asynchronous learning courses. The course will examine three case studies with various diagnoses (mild cognitive impairment, Covid-19, and mild traumatic brain injury) across ages and cognitive abilities.
