Course Description:
Although not always symptomatic, rotator cuff pathology is common and often treated conservatively and post-operatively with physical and occupational therapy. This course is designed to inform participants on best evidence regarding the approach to minimize disability based on key patient characteristics. Information about non-surgical and surgical options will be discussed and appropriate rehabilitation program components throughout recovery will be highlighted. Evidence for timelines for protection and progression will be highlighted. Emphasis will be placed on performance of assessment of progress and related exercise progression through online demonstration and sharing of resources that can be used in the patient care planning. By completion, the participant will have the information to create and execute a person centered, evidence based approach which minimizes disability related to rotator cuff pathology.
