Course Description:

This is an intermediate level course designed for therapists to advance their current knowledge and skills necessary for effective assessment and treatment of the hemiplegic shoulder in stroke and neurologic patients. The hemiplegic shoulder, characterized by pain, dysfunctional motor control, and poor sensory awareness poses a challenge in rehabilitation and requires specialized intervention and collaboration to optimize functional outcomes.
