Course Description:

This course is designed to give the learner practice and feedback in implementing a biopsychosocial model of care as introduced in the online series. This live course will use a case study to allow attendees to implement the Orebro, Clinical Treatment Worksheet and individual matched treatment approaches including, pain neuroscience education, motivation interviewing, aerobic exercise, and functional activities. Learners will discuss the case and identify the patient’s dominant pain mechanisms, educate the patient and list appropriate treatment interventions to consider beyond the MS diagnosis. The Motivational Interviewing session will allow learners to practice basic MI processes and skills with partners and receive feedback. By the end of the session, learners will have developed a full plan of care based on the biopsychosocial model.
