Course Description:

Work Conditioning is a structured, intensive, functionally-based program aimed at increasing the work abilities of a patient to enable them to maximize their opportunity for gainful employment. This course will introduce clinicians to the benefits of providing work conditioning and teach them how to identify appropriate candidate. Participants will understand how to interpret job descriptions and work with their patients to set functional, work related goals. Participants will learn how to perform work conditioning initial evaluations including intake procedures, transition of current patients into the program, subjective, objective measurements and functional testing, assessment and frequency/duration planning in order to develop an evidence based program. Resources for evaluation, documentation, and program development will be provided.
