Course Description:

Physical therapists are experts in mobility and specialize in helping patients overcome obstacles to their movement and function. Some patients need help with their basic needs because they don’t have the ability to take care of it themselves. Helping these patients safely transfer from one place to another safely is equally as important as ambulation. This course discusses how physical therapists can better understand these concerns, so they can, in turn, educate patients and caregivers on ways to improve or restore mobility and maximize a patient’s quality of life.
