Course Description:

This module provides respiratory therapy and rehabilitation therapy professionals with a foundational knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation. Learners will understand the CMS program requirements and criteria for participation, how to use outcome measurements to support medical necessity, and standards for documentation. Case studies will model best practices including management of patients with post-COVID conditions (PCC), also referred to as Long COVID. The role of interdisciplinary team members is discussed, with examples of team collaboration to optimize patient outcomes.
