Course Description:

This course presents physical and occupational therapy professionals with evidence-based guidelines for treatment of the hemiplegic shoulder. Learners will gain an understanding of how to evaluate the shoulder, recommendations for sling and support devices, interventions to manage pain and muscle tone, techniques to support functional recovery, and strategies to promote and engage patients to self-manage their condition.
