Course Description:

Outdoor home modifications increase the safety and well-being of older adults. Occupational and physical therapy professionals need to know how to address age-related barriers to help their older adult patients safely navigate the outdoor environments. This course will provide them the knowledge and skills to assess and suggest appropriate outdoor home modifications. This course provides occupational and physical therapy professionals with knowledge of age-related barriers to accessing the outdoor home environment and interventions to improve accessibility.
