Course Description:
This course presents the clinical foundations of multiple sclerosis (MS), including the pathophysiology, types, signs, and symptoms. With an emphasis on evaluation methods, physical and occupational therapy professionals will learn to use a problem-solving approach to identify functional deficits and develop appropriate treatment goals. Therapy interventions are not discussed in detail in this course.
The goal of this course is to provide physical and occupational therapists with an understanding of multiple sclerosis and how to effectively evaluate patients with this condition.
