Course Description:

How do we manage and treat patients who have experienced COVID-19? This course provides rehabilitation professionals with an understanding of common post-covid conditions including, post exertional malaise, cardiopulmonary complications, autonomic dysfunction, musculoskeletal pain and weakness, and cognitive impairments. Clinical considerations for contraindications, precautions, and evidence-based treatment and strategies for monitoring response to treatment are presented. Recommendations for working with patients experiencing psychological impacts (fear, anxiety, social isolation) are also discussed. This course provides occupational and physical therapy professionals and speech-language pathologists with evidence-based treatments and considerations for patients with post-COVID conditions.
