Course Description:
Professionalism refers to the values and standards upheld by occupational and physical therapy professionals and is necessary to deliver patient-centered care. Bias, and especially ageism, can impact the quality and opportunities for care provided to the older adult population. This course uses application-based scenarios to demonstrate how reflective practice and communication-based skills will allow you to uphold the values of professionalism in a manner that combats bias and ageism in the post-acute setting.
