Course Description:

This comprehensive pediatric bladder and bowel education course is an introductory level course intended for medical and nonmedical professionals such as pediatric physical and occupational therapists, early childhood education teachers, daycare workers, and any adult responsible for children. Further coursework is needed for general pelvic floor therapists to be able to help children with basic bladder and bowel function. This course will also provide considerations for those children who have autism spectrum disorder, hypermobility, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and sensory processing dysfunction. It covers education on how to perform a quick and non-invasive screen of bladder and bowel function to determine if the child deviates from normal bladder and bowel habits.
