Course Description:

This program overview is designed to ensure the treating clinician is equipped with the resources and training tools necessary to appropriately manage a patient who has been through an extended period of hospitalization or after suffering from a severe illness. The treating clinician will be required to understand appropriate safety guidelines for this patient population. This will include determining red and yellow flags and how these would impact patient care, understanding appropriate guidelines for exercise termination due to the severity of co-morbidities, and potential patient impact with this condition. The resources included will be of use for the rehabilitation program and the treating clinician will be able to discuss and implement appropriate use and guidelines for these tools.
