Course Description:
Access to cancer rehabilitation has exponentially grown in the last decade with shift in priorities of the cancer community from living past a cancer diagnosis to the quality of life of cancer survivors. With an estimated 20 million survivors in the United States, community-based rehabilitation providers have taken on the integral role in addressing the functional needs of this growing population. To affectively address these needs in typical rehabilitation centers, clinicians need the knowledge and skills of their role in the cancer care team, their role throughout the cancer continuum, how to communicate between the team and with the patient to optimize their function before, during, and after active cancer treatment, and to provide value-based care
