Course Description:

This course consists of 4 core modules that set the foundation for specialized care of the athlete population. The first module addresses skills and clinical reasoning processes required to perform an effective triage evaluation of the athlete in the acute phase of an injury process. The second module addresses foundations of sports psychology for the target audience, including indicators that would require referral to another healthcare professional. The third module presents a platform for advanced exercise prescription to physiologically prepare the athlete for return to play and return to performance. The final component of the course is an introduction to the Select Return to Sport (RTS) protocols for the upper and lower extremities.
