Course Description:

This course will provide the learner with information and practical application through the use of case studies, for managing the initial evaluation of an injured worker along with planning to manage the worker’s case going forward. This course will expand on the information and discussion from Part 1 of this course to provide the learner opportunities to work individually and collaborate with peers in a group setting to identify barriers and use critical thinking to offer solutions for optimal management of the workers detailed in the case studies. Although this course will provide insight into many barriers to work participation, in-depth training in overcoming individual mal-adaptive thoughts, beliefs, and coping strategies is beyond the scope of this course.
