Course Description:

This course will cover the evaluation, diagnosis and surgical treatment of cartilage disorders of the knee. We will review the bony and soft tissue anatomy of the knee and will discuss the different types of cartilage disorders and best surgical and nonsurgical treatment approaches for each. This course will also cover evaluation and treatment of common athletic injuries of the foot and ankle. We will review surgical vs nonsurgical approaches for Achilles tendon rupture management, lateral ankle instability, and ankle fractures. Participants will understand the imperative patient history elements of knee and ankle examinations and identify which patient history components, special tests and diagnostic imaging are affiliated with knee, foot and ankle pathology
