Course Description:

Introductory concepts to complex rehab technology (CRT) with an emphasis on seating and positioning. Educational materials include in-person presentation with PowerPoint, a variety of wheelchair cushions and backs, an ultra-lightweight wheelchair, and a group 3 power wheelchair. Evidence-based, reliable information cited throughout presentation. Objectives: Expand knowledge of resources and rehab team members as it relates to equipment, Provide tools to maximize patient mobility and function, Identifying and pairing patient’s mobility needs with proper mobility device, Choosing an appropriate seating system for your patient, Improving patient access to the environment, Ensuring proper positioning and support to achieve GOALs.
