Course Description:
This comprehensive course delves into the complexities of tendinopathies, exploring their etiology, diagnosis, and the latest evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. Designed for Occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and physical therapists, the course aims to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the mechanics of tendon injuries and the physiological responses to injury.
Participants will learn about common types of tendinopathies, such as Lateral epicondalgia, DeQuervian’s, and rotator cuff tendinopathies, emphasizing their clinical presentations and underlying biomechanical factors. The course will also cover assessment techniques, including clinical tests and differential dx, providing a foundation for accurate intervention. Throughout the course, learners will engage with advanced rehabilitation protocols that focus on progressive loading, pain management, and functional recovery. We will examine the most recent literature and how we may integrate it into our treatment plans. Practical examples of clinical management and treatment techniques will be explored.
