Course Description:

This course will engage all Advanced Physical Therapy clinicians in 12 hours of immersive learning (one hour per month for one year) in review of Current Concepts of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy content as distributed by the American Physical Therapy Association and Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. Each one hour meeting will include

First 30 Minutes:
Difficult Case Discussion – an assigned clinician will provide a brief overview of a patient who has plateaued or is having a difficult time progressing towards their goals. The information will be provided with bullet points and highlight the most pertinent information to the case. The remainder of the 30 minutes will be designated to brainstorming ways in which we can assist the patient achieving their goals through the most effective evidence lead information from the above listed references.

Second 30 Minutes:
Clinical Check Points – a Clinical Check Points List will be distributed with roughly six topics to review. Topics to review have been attached below. These may include special tests, objective measures, as well as manual therapy skills. Once you complete your checklist with your peers you will return to list to the moderator. All of the skills content comes directly from the APTA Current Concepts of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy 5th Edition as well as manual therapy techniques from Evidence In Motion's MTC (Manual Therapy Certification) program.

Each one hour meeting will end with a quiz to be completed utilizing Microsoft Forms to track accuracy as well points that need to be revisited with clinicians on an individual basis.
