Course Description:

Global Objectives: Identify the role of pharmacologic treatments and medication management in wound healing and ostomy care, addressing challenges such as absorption, chronic conditions, and complications like short gut syndrome. Foster evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary approaches in wound, ostomy, and/or continence care to optimize patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings. Discuss the legal and ethical considerations in wound care and pressure injury management, including strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with best practices.
