Course Description:
The course is designed to assist the orthopedic clinician in evaluating, considering, and treating the pelvic floor, pregnant patients, and postpartum patients during a standard rehabilitation course of treatment. Instruction will include screening for red flags in these populations, yellow flag screening due to population prevalence, and includes special considerations for exercise interventions and progressions. The course will have a strong lab focus for motor learning and integration of the material and will cover diastasis recti evaluation, current understanding, and best evidence treatment.
Note: This is not an internal course, and is not designed to turn you into a pelvic health specialist. The course is designed to demonstrate that many of the treatments you already use can address the needs of these patient populations and provide support with an orthopedic, evidence-based interventions for these populations
