Course Description:

Osseointegration, the direct structural and functional connection between living bone and the surface of an implant, has transformed medical and dental practices. Through the use of durable, long-lasting, and functional implants, osseointegration plays a critical role in improving the lives of patients. This course provides a comprehensive exploration of osseointegration to provide knowledge and insights to healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, and the community to understand and implement osseointegration technologies effectively. Participants will gain knowledge on osseointegration, including the evolution and benefits of treatment. Additionally, traditional amputation methods used across the United States and the pathologies associated with this approach will also be discussed.
