Course Description:

Concussion Management" is a course for physical therapists to gain proficiency at the essentials of understanding, assessing, and treating patients who have sustained a concussion. In depth discussion on the definition of a concussion, the use of baseline testing, acute injury management, injury management the first 48 hours after a concussion, physical therapy evaluation, interventions/trajectory classification, RTL/RTS guidelines and exertional training. Evaluation, Treatment, and Habituation Exercise Prescription for the most common Vestibular Disorders including BPPV will be covered in this course. New graduates as well as seasoned therapists will enjoy the streamlined approach and generous time allowed to gain proficiency at treating the concussion patient. The techniques taught will allow immediate clinical use upon return to work on Monday!
