This course is designed for dog lovers interested in understanding the fundamentals of canine physical therapy. This course offers insight into the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of common canine injuries and conditions. Participants will learn the core techniques of canine physical therapy, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and the use of modalities like hydrotherapy, shockwave and laser therapy. Through case studies, the course will explore the treatment of a variety of conditions, such as neuro diagnoses, cruciate ligament injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation and arthritic management. This course will cover the necessary certification and education needed to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. It will also go over the challenges and rewards of working in the canine field. Whether you are a physical therapist looking to transition into the canine rehabilitation field or an avid dog lover wanting to improve your dog’s quality of life, this course will provide education on the tools and techniques needed to provide effective, compassionate care for dogs in need of physical therapy.
