Course Description:

This course equips pediatric healthcare professionals with knowledge and techniques to modify and promote healing environments for premature infants and special needs children. The main focus is on facilitating the infants' active participation in their natural surroundings, both in the NICU and duringthe transition home. Participants will explore the five elements of touch, light, sound,smell/taste and temperature, and learn howto support sensory system development through evidence-based strategies.
