Course Description:

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to: Integrate key updates from the 2025 NPIAP Pressure Injury Guidelines into clinical practice, focusing on advancements in prevention, assessment, and management to enhance patient care; Identify evidence-based strategies for recognizing and managing skin failure across diverse healthcare settings, ensuring early identification and appropriate interventions; Examine the distinct roles and contributions of interdisciplinary healthcare teams—including nurses, physical therapists, and other professionals—in driving change and implementing best practices in wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) care; Foster collaboration and patient-centered care by utilizing best practices in WOC management, ensuring a unified approach to improving patient outcomes across healthcare settings.
