Course Description:

This course covers the current best evidence and contemporary approach to the clinical management of adults with neurologic conditions. Emphasis is placed on knowledge translation of current literature and task force recommendations made by the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT) including relevant clinical practice guidelines for examination and treatment. During lab activities, participants will practice administering outcome measures recommended by various ANPT Evidence Database to Guide Effectiveness (EDGE) work groups, with particular emphasis on the Core Outcome measures for all adults with neurologic conditions and those recommended for people that have specific conditions including cerebrovascular accident and Parkinson’s disease.
