Course Description:
This comprehensive 8-hour seminar provides an in-depth exploration of ACL reconstruction,
including surgical considerations, graft selection, and a phased rehabilitation approach from
post-operative recovery to return-to-sport. Designed for physical therapists, physical therapist
assistants, strength and conditioning specialists, and athletic trainers, this course highlights
how surgical decisions impact rehabilitation outcomes and how to tailor interventions to
optimize strength, neuromuscular control, and functional performance.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of ACL anatomy, common knee injury
mechanisms, and associated pathologies, as well as the benefits and limitations of different
graft options. Through evidence-based rehabilitation protocols, attendees will learn how to
safely progress patients through early, mid, and late-stage recovery while implementing
functional testing and return-to-sport criteria to minimize re-injury risk. By the end of the
seminar, participants will be equipped with the latest strategies for managing ACL injuries and
post-surgical rehabilitation to improve patient outcomes.
