Course Description:
This course equips clinicians with specialized skills to assess and treat lumbopelvic conditions. Participants will gain expertise in performing external assessments of pelvic floor muscles, identifying relevant bony landmarks, and diagnosing dysfunctions related to pregnancy, postpartum status, and pelvic organ prolapse. The course emphasizes evidence-based care plans, guiding practitioners in tailoring interventions for conditions such as lower back pain, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence. Additionally, participants will explore psychosocial factors affecting treatment outcomes and learn trauma-informed care techniques to foster patient trust and safety. Through hands-on practice and case-based learning, attendees will refine their ability to prescribe exercise, utilize additional resources, and engage patients in bladder/bowel health education, all within an inclusive, DEI-conscious framework.
