Course Description:
Real-time ultrasound (RTUS) is becoming more popular as an effective assessment and intervention tool in physical therapy practice. This course will educate the participant on using RTUS as a form of visual biofeedback to aid in the assessment and recruitment of the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor muscles in preparation for progressing through a strengthening program for improved lumbopelvic stability and function. Participants will get to practice using handheld ultrasound along with verbal cues to engage these challenging muscles in preparation for strengthening.
