Course Description:

This course will focus on current trends in the treatment of cognitive-communication disorders in pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI), and identify evidence-based approaches for treatment in the population. Following an introduction to basic EBP principles in cognitive rehabilitation, the course will identify treatment recommendations for specific cognitive-communication deficits. The course will then discuss simple and immediate ways that you can updated your clinical practice to include evidenced-based approaches and will conclude with an interview with a family that focused on their treatment experience with their 7 year old son’s brain injury.
