Course Description:
Communicating with others is a basic human need and the foundation for all social interactions. When healthcare workers effectively communicate with those in their care, it helps individuals feel less isolated and can enhance their overall sense of well-being. Communicating effectively with peers, subordinates, and supervisors is not only an expectation of all healthcare professionals but is critical for ensuring the well-being of the people in their care. Paying attention to another's communication needs is one of the most crucial responsibilities of a healthcare provider.
When healthcare workers understand how the communication process works and how to send and receive messages effectively, they are better able to meet the needs of those they care for.
