Course Description:

The UW-Stevens Point Doctor of Physical Therapy program will be hosting a FREE clinical education workshop for clinical instructors interested in learning more about competency based physical therapy education and developing practical skills and tools for successful management of student physical therapists from these learning environments. The workshop will present the latest approaches to physical therapy education and explore best practices in the timing and providing of feedback, tools for effective planning and management of student experiences, and explore motivational techniques to improve student engagement. The in-person workshop will provide participants the chance to collaborate with peers, practice using management tools, and interactively explore case studies. There is required reading and reflection work as part of the course so preregistration is required. Registration is FREE and lunch will be provided for all clinical instructor faculty at UW-Stevens Point. Participants will receive continuing education credit approved through APTA WI.
