Course Description:

Physical Therapists should have a comprehensive understanding of evidence-based recommendations and practical applications to help patients optimally nourish to improve clinical outcomes. Evidence-based recommendations must be the benchmark for treatment over misinformation re supplementation, health fraud, and food/nutrient demonization. Understanding the complexities of the injury response, immune system, inflammatory pathway and roles of under fueling and stress in determining nutrition guidelines are essential for healing, health, restoration, and recovery.
