Course Description:

This course will provide an overview of the management of pediatric patients who have a congenital cardiac disorder. Working with these patients across the continuum requires specific knowledge regarding congenital cardiac disorders, the developmental and functional limitations that are associated with those disorders, and the unique role that rehabilitation plays in improving function and quality of life. Three case studies will be used to highlight the roles of rehabilitation with patients who have a congenital cardiac disorder and focus in on specific components of the Congenital Cardiac Clinical Pathway that will enhance assessments and treatments of these patients.
