Course Description:
This 2-day beginning to intermediate level course has been designed to instruct the practioner in effective and efficient evaluation and treatment techniques for dysfunctions related to the thoracic spine and rib cage. The clinician will also gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of manual physical therapy, its principles and goals, as well as differences between indirect and direct modalities. Treatment will address type I and II dysfunctions of the thoracic spine; joint integrity of the AC, SC and sternocostal joints as they relate to rib cage mobility, to name a few. This course will include an optional comprehensive exam, offering the clinician eligibility towards certification in line of the orthopedic and osteopathic manual therapy courses.
